Cooling Bedding Products

We offer four premier vendors of cooling bedding products – Outlast, Chilipad, Cool or Heat, and Pure Fiber.

Outlast®

Outlast® technology is the original temperature-regulating technology. Outlast® fabrics, fibers and coatings are ingredients found in everyday products and high performance gear such as bedding, footwear, apparel, outerwear and accessories.

Outlast® technology balances your temperature through the use of patented microencapsulated Thermocules™ that absorb and store excess heat, releasing it when you need it most. Outlast® technology continuously adapts to your changing thermal needs. Whether the environment is cold or warm, products with Outlast® technology balance your temperature by reducing overheating and therefore perspiration. When you’re cold, the result is less chill. When you’re warm, Outlast® technology works to keep your body from breaking a sweat as rapidly as if you were wearing products without Outlast® technology. You stay more comfortable longer.

Outlast Technologies, Inc. holds patents for the original temperature regulating technology and ingredients for fibers, fabrics and coatings. Many products in the marketplace claim to have temperature-regulating properties, but in essence they are really promoting temperature regulation through moisture management, not active phase change technology. Outlast® technology is a proactive technology. It’s uniquely engineered to wick away excess heat and prevent you from perspiring.  Other technologies are reactive. In other words, you would have to first perspire and be in contact with the fabric to receive any benefits. By balancing your personal micro-climate, Outlast® technology keeps you thermoneutral.

As with all textile products, you should wash your bedding prior to use. Keep your bedroom temperature at or below 65ºF (18ºC). Use the Outlast® technology bedding products as you normally would. Flannel sheets are acceptable for use during the cooler months. Place the coverlet, comforter or blanket directly over your top sheet. Excessive layering of traditional sleep products is not recommended though duvet covers and lightweight bedspreads are acceptable. In all cases, the best results are obtained by building a cocoon of Outlast® technology products that include a minimum of a comforter, mattress, mattress pad and pillow.

People typically set their room temperature low at night then climb into bed and layer with covers. Heat radiating from the body is trapped beneath the covers and can prevent your body from cooling down, making it difficult to fall asleep. It is not uncommon for people to toss and turn as their bodies search for their comfort zone. The heat-absorbing Thermocules™ in Outlast® technology continually absorb, store and release excess body heat to keep the temperature and humidity within your bed in the optimum range for restful sleep. By eliminating temperature swings throughout the night, you are less likely to wake.

ChiliPadTM

ChiliPadTM is part of a legacy of sleep innovation — a step in a family history of caring about sleep solution. The waterbed set off a comfort revolution in the sixties as people realized the shape of your spine when you sleep has an enormous impact on your health and sleep patterns. Since then other developers have created a memory foam craze and the firmness adjustable beds, but as a population we have not achieved the perfect sleep. Thirty-five years of alternative sleep solutions and there has never been a development to adjust for temperature. Temperature has not been something people could change in a regular mattress before, we have found the solution.

Sleep is as important to your health as food and water. When you sleep well, you feel refreshed, alert and ready to face daily challenges. When you don’t, your job, relationships, productivity, health and your safety and others may all be put at risk. A 2002 National Sleep Foundation (NSF) Sleep in America poll found that 74 percent of American adults are having difficulty sleeping a few nights a week or more, 39% get less than seven hours of sleep each weeknight, and more than one in three (37%) are so sleepy during the day that it interferes with daily activities. In the past century, we have reduced our average time in sleep. Though our society has changed, our brains and bodies have not. Sleep deprivation is affecting us all and we are paying the price. The ChiliPadTM will help you in your battle to achieve restful sleep. Regulating your sleep temperature will help you to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start the day.

  • Patented technology that cools and heats the bed – the ChiliPadTM is an innovative way to regulate the temperature of your bed at night and helps in achieving restful sleep.
  • The safe, innovative design creates an equally balanced temperature in the bed to consistently keep you at your desired temperature throughout the night.
  • Adjusting the temperature is easy with simplistically designed wireless remote.
  • Add savings to your energy bill. The ChiliPadTM can be controlled from 460-1180F, which will help keep your energy bill costs down. (up to 15% savings on the average energy bill)

Cool or Heat

Optimum sleep temperature can be one of the most difficult and challenging issues facing many individuals and couples. Often a room is too cold for one person and too warm for the other.

Cool-or-Heat can help ease the argument over the room’s temperature setting.

With your own Cool-or-Heat Sleep Pad, one can set the temperature of their side of the bed from 50 F to 133F degrees without affecting the other person.

Both of you can have a comfortable and restful sleep.

Advanced thermoelectric technology continuously cools or heats water that circulates throughout the cotton pad. No electrical wires are in the pad itself.

Save Money and Energy with Cool-or-Heat.

The Sleep Pad running continuously for 8 hours only consumes 0.64 kWh of electricity. So for example, if you pay $0.10/kWh, that equates to 6.4 cents. Compare that to your home AC unit.

Nidraa™

Nidraa™ products feature patented Dri-release® with FreshGuard® yarn and fabric technology which offers quick wicking and fast drying of perspiration, to give you a peaceful sleep for extreme relaxation.

Nidraa products made with Dri-release® uses a blend of natural and synthetic fibers. The natural fibers absorb moisture pulling it off the skin and into the fabric. Synthetic fibers repel moisture, forcing it through to the surface of the garment where it evaporates quickly. So, Dri-release® moves sweat and moisture from the skin, through the fabric and releases it into the air faster than 100% cotton, faster than any other performance fabric.

Dri-release® is a unique fabric that feels like cotton and keeps you comfortable, dry and odor-free. A FreshGuard® treatment embedded in the yarn virtually eliminates odor.

Unlike other topically finished performance polyesters that lose their ability to wick away moisture with each washing, Nidraa products made with Dri-release®’s comfort qualities are permanent. They’re built right into the yarn itself so products made with Dri-release® always feels soft, always stays dry. Dri-release® beats cotton and the leading topically treated performance fabrics for comfort when wet or dry.
